The thefaithfulpixel.com FAQ

The Concept

The Concept is simple, we are placing the logo's or photo's of ministries, churches and individuals onto a kind of Christianity exhibition space, to allow Christians in Britain and Ireland to get a flavour of what is going on in our family of nations and how to easily connect with those ministries with the click of a mouse.

The original concept was developed by a student called Alex Tew, a non Christian, who was looking to raise money for his university study. He was selling a single pixel for $1.

We have developed this Christian version of the same concept but are not so interested in the money side of things as to create a meaningful space for Christian Ministries, Churches and Individuals to stand together.

You can buy as many pixels as you like, as long as there are some available (see the live stats in the top right corner of the page). When you buy some pixels, you can then display an image/ad/logo of your choice in the space you have purchased. You can also have the image click through to your own website. However, no obscene or offensive images or links are allowed.

The pixels you buy will be displayed on the homepage for a period of 2 years. After which time, you will have a choice to renew, or cancel your space. This allows us to more closely follow the ever changing shape of Christianity, so if a ministry closed for example, we have the opportunity every two years of reflect that change.

Who are we

Media Support Services (Europe) Ltd. Has been facilitating prayer development under the name of Prayer TV for a few years now, and in October 2004 launched a nationwide Prayer Magazine to reflect the growing interest in prayer within our family of Nations.

Founded by Carl Brettle, In 2006, Prayer TV started producing and broadcasting programmes again to further develop and mobilise prayer within the Nation, and started to form alliances with Christian Ministries to unite around a common aim of seeing Christianity further spread throughout our Cities, towns, and Villages.

We are building a Media Platform for Prayer Development and The Faithful Pixel is a way of building new relationships and reflecting the partnerships we have already developed.

Why Should we Buy Pixels to Advertise our website ?

Because you will have an image and a link to your site on the homepage of a site that could potentially be seen by millions of people over the coming years.

The concept is simple, we will develop a lot of interest to The Faithful Pixel as people become curious about who is advertising and seek to satisfy their curiosity by visiting The Faithful Pixel and clicking the links.

It's a bit like a warehouse for internet traffic. You get clicks on your pixel just through the sheer volume of traffic we get, and people then visit your site and learn about your ministry or church.

Why do I have to purchase a minimum 10 x 10 block ?

Although it would be cool if individuals could buy a single pixel each, in practise, it wouldn't so effective. The reason I believe this is because you can't display anything meaningful in one pixel - nor click it easily - so visually, it would be pointless. With thousands of random tiny coloured dots all over the place, the homepage would look gastly.

I also thought that the site would appeal more to people with businesses/websites to advertise than it would to individuals, or to put it more accurately, businesses would pay more to have a meaningful graphic on the homepage. Hence the minimum purchase is £20 for a 10x10 block.

How long will my pixel advert be online for ?

You can keep your advert online indefinately, so long as you renew every two years.

We decided to ask for adverts to be renewed every two years as it provides us with continued revenue - we are charging approx. 25% of what commerical pixel site charge for their adverts.
